We are deeply saddened to share that Gary Blocker passed away on January 5, 2026.
Gary Blocker was one of the original founders of Blackberry Oaks Golf Course in 1993 and remained deeply connected to the course throughout his life. He took great pride in Blackberry Oaks and especially cherished his time playing in the senior league alongside friends he considered family.
Gary was actively involved in the construction, management, and daily operation of Blackberry Oaks until selling his interest in 2023. His passion, vision, and dedication helped shape the course into what it is today.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, Illinois.
